How it Started > How it's Going
I laugh now when I think of blending these raw ingredients in my blender and spooning the formula into the make-do pouches. Back then I DREAMED of the day when VALA would be in a custom sachet! Three years on and I still have to pinch myself that it actually happened.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Throughout the VALA process there were so many doubts and fears that kept creeping up, which I think is to be expected when taking a risk and doing ANYTHING new for the first time. The impostor syndrome that came in waves when meeting new factories and suppliers felt VERY real, that’s for sure.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Looking back with what I know now (knowing that I still have a LOT to learn), I consider that uncomfortable “What the hell am I doing?” feeling to be a sign that I’m actually on the right path. I’ve realised that the growing pains are all part of the process and that it’s possible to thrive off whatever new challenge presents itself. Some might call that resilience, but I think it’s mostly down to mindset.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you believe that something is possible - no matter what odds are stacked against you - then it will be. There’s nothing like the incredible athletes that we’re surrounded by, the David Goggins and Fiona Oakes of the world, to remind us of that. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So consider this post to be a friendly reminder for us all that practice makes progress, not perfection! Remember to always keep your goal front of mind, even when it feels far out of reach. It might take longer than you expected to make it a reality, but you’ll learn plenty from the challenges along the way. Find a way to reprogram your subconscious mind to believe that ANYTHING is possible. Try out affirmations, journaling, EFT or listen to inspiring podcasts and find what works for you.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Be open to change. Be willing to learn. Believe that if you can see it in your mind, you can achieve it... and you will!
