Why good things are always worth the wait!
Something about this line by the rapper Russ really resonates with me... probably because I‘m one of the most impatient people you'll ever meet and want everything done yesterday!
However, it's true that good things come as a result of patience. Think of all the training that so many of us put into each week, month and year in order to reach our goals, hit our PBs and cross that finish line.
At the time the hard work feels just that - hard. It's tough to have perspective and patience when you're in the thick of it, full of self doubt and looking for an easy way out, but trusting and believing that you'll achieve your goals makes it all worthwhile. Remember that each day is an opportunity to chip away at your ambition and better yourself.
Once you've crossed the finish line, completed your first couch to 5k or finally have that IronMan medal in your hand, the aftertaste really will taste so sweet. Think of the sense of fulfilment and pride that will make you so grateful for all of the patience and self-belief that kept you going!
