This week's guest post comes from friend of VALA Ryan Stephens @ryanstephens___, who is a Mindset Coach and Ultra Marathon Runner from Swansea, South Wales. Ryan is a beginner Surfer and has recently teamed up with Surf Therapy CIC to create Mindset & Surf Therapy workshops that combine his passion for being active with mindset coaching.

Here are Ryan's Top 3 Tips for anyone looking to develop a more positive and resilient mindset:

TAKE TIME FOR YOU
Some of our best ideas and realisations happen when we get that little bit of time to self-reflect, where we’re focused on ourselves and not on the things around us.

THE HEALING POWER OF NATURE
Walking in the woods, taking a sea dip or even visiting a local park for a while can reduce your stress levels and have a positive impact on your mindset.

GROUND ZERO
There is never a better time to start something new than right now. The only moment we ever have is the singular one we exist in right now.
If you want to do more, do it now.
If you want to be more, be it now. 
The person you are in the future is shaped by what you decide and do right now.
